Our association strives for improvement of the quality of life and contributes by its activities to solving the problems of older people who can active and meaningful stay on their homes as long as possible and we will accompany them through the autumn of their life so nobody need to be ashamed for his age.

ŽIVOT 90 – 17 years of history

1. established: 24.10.1990 by Blanka and Jan Lorman
2. volunteering: 1990 – 1991 on the field of social and personal advisory, club activities, older people´s clubs
3. first donations: 1992 – start of the professional activities
4. establishment of branches: 1993 – 1994 in Hradec Kralove, Jihlava and Zruc nad Sazavou cities
5. rent of the todays seat: 1995 – from Municipality of Prague for 25 yers , the building needs reconstruction on the sum of app.122 mil. CZK
6. start of reconstruction: 1995
7. the years of reconstruction: from 1996 until 2004
8. start of the services in a new house PORTUS: 2004

Main activities

1. Comunity center: House PORTUS is a community center for older people´s services
2. For older people who are handicapped, lonely living, with mobility problems. It is a center for their daily activities with social services like advisory, home care, care center, distress care, volunteering etc.
3. The goal is to enable older people to be active part of the society and avoid their social exclusion.
