AMISL
(Active Model for Improvement
and Self Learning) is a
programme aimed at developing a model
for self evaluation and improvement
of the organizations, both public
bodies and private enterprises, providing
services assistance and education
to aged people in Europe.
|
|
The
project aims at building, developing,
and testing a training method able
to enhance the value and enforce the
informal learning and competence of
the one who work in the field of care,
assistance and education of elder
people.
|
  |
|
AMISL
focuses on the informal learning potentials
and the learning opportunities of
the professional operators, nurses
and educators who work in the organizations,
presuming that these workers are "full
of knowledge" after many years
of professional experience in the
field of care, assistance and education.
The most important theme of the proposed
model is the building of a pattern
for the self evaluation of the service.
Through the self evaluation the team-works
try out and reflect upon the meaning
of their own service, upon the culture
and the processes (involving the concept
of "older customer" of their
own service), and increasing the value
of the educative dimension in the
workaday service.
